A key financial consideration has been our commitment to the upgrading of our seven school buildings to ensure our students have a safe and comfortable learning environment. We have committed to a long range financial plan allowing us to complete renovations at five of our buildings, and executing a plan for building a new elementary school to replace Northwest Elementary. These projects have required the District to borrow funds, similar to a homeowner taking out a mortgage. As part of our borrowing process, Standard and Poor’s Rating Service evaluated the financial strength of the District. We are pleased to share that Lebanon School District holds an A/Stable Long Term Rating. The stable rating is based upon the district’s property tax base, low unemployment and improved finances. The rating acknowledged the focus by management on controlling costs and sound financial management practices.
We hope you find this information helpful and thank you for supporting the education of our students.
