Hello and welcome to the Harding School Counseling Page!

My name is Brittany Shaud and I am the Harding Elementary School Counselor. I went to school at Shippensburg University and received my Masters of Education in School Counseling K-12. I was a School Counselor in Berks County and North Carolina. I used to come into Harding and Northwest Elementary as a School Based Therapist for PA Counseling.

Fun facts about me:

-I have a dog named Bo
-I grew up in Lebanon
-I will be getting married in September and my new name will be Mrs. Moyer.
-I LOVE football!
-I love to cook

Hola! Mi nombre es Srta. Shaud y soy la consajera de Harding. Fui a la escuela en la Universidad de Shippensburg y recibí mi maestría en Educación en la Escuela de Consajera K-12. Yo era una consejera de la escuela en el condado de Berks, Pennsylvania y North Carolina. Solía trabajar en Harding y Northwest como un terapeuta basada en la escuela.

El programa de consajera en Harding es proporcionar un programa de consajera integral que aborda el desarrollo académico, profesional y desarrollo personal/social de todos los estudiantes. A través de consajera individual y en grupos pequeños, lecciones en la clase, y la consulta con el personal, las familias y los organismos involucrados, los estudiantes desarrollarán habilidades y actitudes que les permitan convertirse en ciudadanos respetuosos, responsables, y productivos en nuestra comunidad. El establecimiento de relaciones con los estudiantes y las familias fomenten la resiliencia que es necesario que los estudiantes para tener éxito, los aprendices de por vida.

The school counselor at Harding Elementary School believes:

  • All students can achieve with proper support, care, and guidance.
  • Every student should have an opportunity to achieve academic success regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, physical abilities, religious views, or socioeconomic status.
  • All students have the right to participate in the school counseling program.
  • All students’ developmental abilities and multi-intelligences should be considered in planning and implementing the school counseling program.
  • All students should be instructed with a holistic (mind/body connection) approach in providing counseling services.
  • All students should have access to full-time, state certified, masters degree-level school counselor to deliver the school counseling program.
